Everyone has headaches from time to time. Getting your thoughts in order and working on your mental resilience will take you forward.
Exercises
Exercise 1
Write out for yourself what your energy givers and energy takers are right now. What energizes you and what your energy leak(s) are can change over time.
Exercise 2
Write down your thoughts, don't keep them in your head. Choose a fixed moment to pay attention to it so that you talk to yourself for the rest of the day to only deal with it at that fixed moment.
Exercise 3
Make a priority list of your life. What is important to you? And are you also spending the most time and attention on the things you think are important in your life?
Tips
Tip 1
Don't get frustrated when you lie awake, no matter how difficult this is. The frustration will only keep you awake longer. A person can take a beating and miss a few hours of sleep.
Tip 2
Make issues negotiable and actively address problems if you can influence them.
Tip 3
Not only relaxation, but certainly challenge in your life are important to feel fulfillment.
Tip 4
Look at the relationships you have with people. Are these reciprocal?
Tip 5
Put energy into things and people that deliver something. Putting energy into things over which you have no control only costs energy and produces frustration and fretting.
Tip 6
Balance is different for everyone. Reflect periodically on what "balance" means to you and what it looks like in your life at that moment.
Tip 7
Feeling that you've arranged your life the way you want it gives you a sense of autonomy and provides energy.
Tip 8
Make conscious choices. In doing so, it is important to accept the consequences that (may) be attached to them; this will prevent you from getting stuck in 'weighing things up'.
